GDC UDHAMPUR ORGANIZES WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY

To mark the significance of World NO Tobacco Day, the NSS unit of GDC Udhampur
organized e-poster-making and e-slogan writing competitions today on 31-05-2021. The theme
covered was "Quit Tobacco and Curb Covid." The Volunteers showed the damaging effects of
consuming Tobacco in any form through their posters and slogans. This was an endeavor to
spread this message by using the platform of social media. An Anti-Drug Unit was also framed
to dedicatedly work in this horizon and continuously check the use of such substances wherever
found. The volunteers took an e-oath to work against this social nuisance sincerely and
wholeheartedly.Â
To further motivate the volunteers, appreciation certificates were provided to the best posters
and slogans. Amongst them the best poster adjudged was of Miss Kritika Kumari of Semester 4,
the second best was of Master Abhishek of Semester 2 and the third place was grabbed by
Miss Divya Akhtar of Semester 2.
The e-event was organized by the NSS Programme Officer under the able guidance of the
Principal, Prof. Subhash Chander Sharma.
